It is not required that you have previous experience in Argentino Tango as we do not include that dance in the regular classes.  You should be familiar with at least half a dozen figures in the Westcoast Swing, and be dancing at an Intermediate/Pre-Bronze level or higher in your Jive and Foxtrot. 

With regard to the Foxtrot class specifically, it was originally intended to focus on the American-style Foxtrot, however, there have been requests received that we switch the focus to the International-style Foxtrot.  If you are interested in this Foxtrot mini-course, and have a preference, please let us know as we are happy to accommodate the majority. 

On Saturday, February 25th, there is an Argentine Tango workshop scheduled to take place in the dance studio at Saanich Commonwealth Place, from 7:00 - 8:30.  Again, prior experience is not a pre-requisite and all levels are welcome.

In all cases, please bear in mind that minimums and maximums apply so please register early.  People do still sometimes want to wait until 5 minutes before the class is due to start to register, and that is just too late.  A decision whether or not to run, based on registration, has to be made at least 2 - 3 days ahead.  To register, please call the number listed.  For the Argentine Tango workshop, SCP's number is 475-7600.  If you have questions about the content of any of these mini-courses or the workshop, or need to discuss with us whether or not a particular course would be suitable for you, please don't hesitate to contact us.
